You could work evenings/weeekends/bank holidays away from home. No shit!
That’s a terrible salary given the risks involved.
Hours: 168 per week
Wait that’s the salary ?? Would’ve expected it to be 2 – 3X this amount..
Shit pay, but imagine genuinely being able to put ‘Astronaut’ on your C.V.
The most remote of worker.
Back when the European Space Agency (ESA) advertised a few years ago for Astronaut applications I did apply. I was swiftly rejected. I was heartbroken. Feels like a gaping, black, hole in me ever since.
I’m so glad it explains what an astronaut does.
I’d hate to think someone goes for the job thinking they’re going to be driving buses but then get told they’re actually going into space.
Do they pay travel expenses?
I think they are looking for high flyers 😕
I’m not giving my bank holidays up for any job.
She packed my bags last night, pre-flight…
Why is an astronaut’s starting salary £5k more than mine when I sit on my arse and do fuck all?!
I like the brief description of the role.
Pay doesn’t really surprise me. I remember hearing about the US astronauts.
You’d think they’d be on big bucks, but they were basically civil servants with the pay scales to match.
Where’s the nearest pub, and does the local shop sell halloumi?
Who wants to go to space today!
I don’t have any space at home unfortunately
Not sure I could handle the commute tbh
If I can bring my cat im in. Am I allowed to borrow the rocket on my breaks and nip around the galaxy?
lol. That can’t be real. .. loving the comments though.
They lost me at working bank holidays and evenings.
_Surely_ they should appreciate that I should be flown home on such occasions?
Ok, ok fine – at least tell me what the WFH policy is here.
