‘I am baffled by how stupid Republicans are’: Morning Joe. Voters are concerned about the economy and immigration, but Republicans are actively working against measures that would boost the economy and improve border security in an effort to deprive President Biden of political wins.

  1. So what? Pretty much for my entire adult life Washington Republicans don’t do what they say they will. When they had the House, Senate and Presidency under Trump (2 yrs), before him W Bush (2 yrs) they cut taxes of the rich and global corporations.

    Healthcare? Nothing.
    Higher Education? Nothing.
    Immigration reform? Nothing.
    Control spending? Never.
    Etc, etc, etc…

    Ignore the talk and watch the walk. Republicans have one and only one priority, cut taxes for their rich donors: super rich Americans, and global corporations. It’s been this way for over thirty years.

  2. I think Mitt Romney’s comment on Trump trying to derail the bipartisan immigration policy says it all. “There are some folks without question that don’t want to get any solution to a problem because they think that might help the other side.”

    This succinctly sums up the GOP, the party of grievances and obstruction. Rail against a problem, be handed a solution, cult leader says no, run for the exits. Israel and Ukraine funding is also tied to the bipartisan immigration bill Republicans will tank at Trump’s request.
