And what percent of those care enough to make it a top 10 issue?
The Biden campaign should know better than than this. Bibi is not worth risking the end of democracy as we know it.
Nobody can read that headline and really believe that *half* of Biden’s 2020 voters think that. If their poll ‘finds’ that, they are doing polling very wrong.
If he supports Israel, he’s genocidal. If he supports Palestine, he’s antisemitic.
There’s no path that’ll satisfy everyone.
Yeah, it doesn’t sound like a poll that should be believed. Additionally, I don’t think many people understand what the word genocide means. Regardless, Joe Biden and America are not bombing Gaza.
I know this sub hates Tik Tok, but it’s a huge platform and it’s worth noting that he’s getting absolute destroyed on that platform for this.
Edit: Adding a couple things since this comment blew up. First, if you care about Palestine, when the alternative is Donald Trump, Biden is clearly the candidate better equipped to stop the violence. Not voting makes you part of the problem.
Second, while I acknowledge Tik Tok has lots of issues (Reddit does too), it’s still probably the #1 platform to reach Gen Z. The Biden campaign desperately needs to win them back not just for votes but for building a long-term coalition of leftist voters.
This should in no way change your mind about voting for Joe Biden over Trump.
And Trump will be worse for Palestinians. Don’t be a one issue voter.
The pertinent question is – will you not vote for Biden because of this?
I don’t see how Biden wins the White House without Michigan’s electoral votes and he’s not getting those without winning the Detroit metro area and he’s not gonna fucking do that
This is a make or break issue for him. And I don’t think it’s being handled correctly at all. And not just him. So many leaders are failing to do it and choosing the wrong path. It’s scary
i suspect if current presidential candidates lose elections due to foreign policy then there is a good chance future presidential candidates will change course on that foreign policy issue
Israel is absolutely committing genocide against Palestinians.
Biden continuing to support Netanyahu and Israel despite whatever the fuck he’s doing behind the scenes is abhorrent.
I support a permanent ceasefire and whatever it takes for both Israelis and Palestinians to coexist peacefully.
I’m still voting for Biden. I’m empathetic to what’s happening in Gaza, but this is frankly is not my top issue. There’s shit going on right on US soil that I prioritize that if Trump was re-elected would get more fucked up.
Biden does need to do something though. The IDF is going way too far and they were already terrible.
Biden is going to lose the election over this. It’s bleeding support from leftists and progressives who voted for him in 2020.
This sub is so focused on circling the wagons around Biden that it’s become highly delusional. Biden loses to Trump in dozens of polls? Polls are fake! People object to war crimes by Israel? Must be foreign agents sowing discord! Get a grip.
Biden needs to do a LOT better on this issue. Yes, I know Trump would be even worse. Biden still needs to stand up to AIPAC and Bibi.
I would have said no to this weeks ago, but if Israel has rejected the two state solution… What is supposed to happen to the Palestinians? What’s the end game here? They don’t have one they are willing to say out loud.
Do people think Trump would be better? If you want to stop genocide across the world it’s not only in Gaza . There’s terrible shit happening all over. Quit buying drugs, quit buying new products from China, quit eating out at most places, etc . It won’t be easy but you vote with your wallet everyday. I feel terrible for those people and if Gaza becomes the reason Trump wins it will be even worse for Not only Gaza but the whole world. Goodbye e Ukraine. Good bye our economy too. He will sell it all to the highest bidder or whoever can black ail him first. .
Americans and generally , people in first world countries don’t seem to grasp the idea that your way of life comes at a cost that other people have to pay. Israel and Palestine are a metaphor for the world as a whole and you can see it play it out cause they’re neighbors in a densely populated area. America is the Israelis in the scenario for many atrocities across the world. I’m sorry but the president can’t change that. He can make it a bit better or worse but he can’t change it as long as the American people expect a certain way of life.
Biden voter: I have no strong feelings one way or the other!
The other 50% are sucking their thumbs, crying, watching MSNBC in the corner wondering why everybody mad at gramps.
Inb4 Reddit mods delete this along with all the other posts that point out Israel’s crimes
Senile Joe sidestepped congress last time and signed an executive order to the tune of billions so he actively supports and is participating in genocide
50% seems low. I know international law is kind of fake but Israel got destroyed in the international criminal court. South Africa made very compelling points about genocide.
