Xavi is the most protected coach in the history of Barcelona. Had any coach made ONE of the failures he did so far, he would’ve been sacked on the spot! Koeman got sacked for far less! The club should forget about Xavi “the player” and save the season before we find ourselves out of the top 4!

  6. why is everyone forgetting the cards available to Xavi? we don’t have a good cdm/ball winner, hella injuries, no money/ffp space, etc. Am I disappointed with his game management in some games? Yes! However, context matters. For example, look at our team yesterday. 3/11 players were <17 years old. They played their hearts out but they are still kids

  7. – Koeman was Barca coach to the point on sinking Barca to the 9th place and Xavi took that team and put it on 2nd place
    – Frank Rijkaard on 2007/08 , have a terrible mid season but the board allowed him to stay until he got KO in all competitions, and he was super behind Madrid. After losing to United on Semis , thats when Pep was called for the job lol
    – Under Xavi defence , he face persecution constantly from the media and is attack from everywhere including the own Barca fans. Xavi paid from his own pocket to train at Barca , and he even gets paid less than what he was getting at Qatar.
    – Is Xavi at fault? Yes he is but is also the players.

  8. No coach that can replace him now will take this team to a better level. It’s not just him. The players aren’t doing their part either. Stick with what we have. Don’t add more to the budget switching coaches or signing players. See if they can salvage the season and if not (which I admit is the most likely outcome) then hold the coach and players responsible and do a massive cleanup in the summer.

Honestly, at this point the subreddit should just get rid of the people who call themselves culers for some reason but have no faith or love towards the club until it wins and only complains about anything and everything they can put a blame on. What Xavi has done in his 2 years is massively underrated and impressive with the restrictions the club has had. He is not the best nor the perfect manager but he has shown his his dream, he started to build what I hope is an inevitable empire, sure there will be moments or games or a season of dismay but when these so called fans start complaining and not standing behind the club after any inconvenience, that what drags the club down. Such a shame that our fanbase has people like you all around.

  13. that is a L take. I understand everyone is frustrated with his tactics and so am I, but look at the squad we have. 16-17-year-old kids are playing for the first team. Xavi doesn’t have the players he wants to play his football.

    Give him some slack. Hopefully, we get a top 4 finish and advance to further rounds in CL.

  19. Koeman was truly a dark era but Xavi has far better squad and a complete squad than him. Except a DM but the dm situation is both on the board and Xavi. They were too naive by trusting Oriol Romeu to take that spot. Xavi was even saying Romeu is the player that will suprise barca fans the most lol. He did suprise is though.

  20. Smh are u seeing the bs barcelona has to deal with the refs not doing their jobs and var. laliga finally saw proof of this. Have u seen all the injuries barcelona has. Have u seen how broke the team is. They can barely purchase players. Xavi is coming to a team that is not perfect. By miracle he was able to improve the team with what he had before.
