  8. Listened to the whole thing. Love how she was asking him about anniversaries, family stuff etc and he couldn’t remember any of them (important dates) then allowing him to whine that Carroll couldn’t remember dates. Was epic level “gotcha”.

    But the more he has to give sworn statements the easier he is going to be to trip up in other court cases.

    That is the inherent value of him facing so many lawsuits at once. He is a renowned liar.

  17. I sat on a jury in civil judgement once and I was surprised that there was no upper limit applied to our ruling.

    We asked for comps, and we asked for a limit, but the court refused to provide.

    This might be more consequential than all of Trump’s other legal issues. This could break him. He might be able to stay out of prison, but this case could make him a “commoner”, one of the trailer park schmucks that votes for him.

Jean Carroll AND he’s still actively defaming her, I have a feeling he’s going to be on the hook for A LOT! Which will be so satisfying!

  33. I hate trump but this makes no sense. He said “could be worth” not “is worth”. Also wouldn’t his assets need to be evaluated by a third party? Otherwise someone could sue me and I can say “well my house is only worth $10,000” and it’s actually worth $500,000.

    Afaik, it’s not illegal to overvalue your own assets unless you had a company evaluate them and had them do some book cooking math to make them look much smaller. Because most people can’t be trusted to be truthful, auditors appraisers and whatnot exist to make sure what a business says it’s worth is actually realistic.

    I can’t write my LLC is worth a billion dollars and get loans on that imaginary collateral. Any bank would want proof.

    Now..if trump said this property is worth $2.5B and faked the numbers, then yes it would be perjury and forgery.

    But gloating about the value of your property isn’t a guarantee he can afford to pay more nor does it allow a judge to impose a larger fine. You can’t get blood out of a turnip.

  41. He didn’t pay last time, he is appealing the $5m, and he will appeal the $25 million or whatever it is this time. He will never pay, she will never see that money. Appeal can, and will, take years.

  42. The fact that Trump talks too much will hopefully be his downfall at his criminal trials.
