  1. The thesis is essentially that the rooftop solar industry is repating the subprime mortage crisis on a smaller scale with loans for solar panels.

  2. It’s not even close to being comparable to the sub prime crisis.

    1. there’s not even a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the kind of securities that leverages panels the way mortgage backed securities were.
    2. Investment firms entire portfolios aren’t propped up by solar panels.
    3. The only similarity is predatory lenders….I still see mortgages being handed out, it’s the middle men who offered absolutely no value that are out of business.

    This is just poorly thought out propaganda produced by energy holding groups owning large portions of investor owned utilities. Residential solar is an existential threat to IOUs
