I hope this can be passed and we can all make further progress towards a better Europe!
Isn’t it a basic requirement to be a democracy, and not just a need to join EU?
I saw a poll today that said close to 60% of Serbs oppose this referendum
An independent judiciary is doubtlessly a good thing but different reforms can be used to get that and some reforms may in fact achieve the opposite.
Did the EU actually request the measures Serbia is voting on or is the ruling party just saying the EU wants them? I find it hard to believe that president Vucic would do anything to democratise the judiciary or even bring Serbia closer to the EU. Hopefully I’m wrong.
Let’s not forget that our dictator urged our voters to vote Yes same think EU told. If this referendum passes Vućić could hold judicaly for decades since judges(Supreme Court) would get lifelong mandate.
This sounds like a yes to all of you, but if you live here you know this will just give Vučić more power.
