These articles all read like if the US signed the funding bill tomorrow, the ammunition shortages would all just go away. You do realize, of course, that the money is not just disbursed all at once for a big cache of weaponry, right? The previous funding just dried up last month, and Biden is still sitting on 4.4 billion of discretionary money. The sixty billion (which is really a paltry amount when you consider the actual dynamics of the situation) would not all just get thrown at Ukraine at once.
Even if it was, it wouldn’t do a damn thing to alter the artillery ammo situation. Unless the western powers are willing to seriously diminish their own readiness (not gonna happen), there’s nowhere to source the shells. Nobody is make them in even remotely sufficient quantities.
The answer, of course, is airpower. But it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than 18 very outdated F-16s.
Not for nothing, but could get some American M732, a High-Explosive (HE), Controlled-Variable-Time (CVT) fuses. The VT fuse allows for air burst of those HE rounds over trenches and troops in the open.
As an American I apologize for our government, specifically the GOP, for delaying this Ammo.
And the US are like ‘ no idea why the Russian invasion of Ukraine, coincides with a record number of border crossings in the south, what are the chances ‘.
As if it wasn’t readily obvious, from all the telegram leaks, and support networks blatantly helping to move people from South America to the Southern US border. It’s clearly Russia’s attempt at asymmetrical warfare that definitely favours Trumo returning into power.

It’s always the US, not Ukraine’s next door neighbors. When China pops off it will be the US dealing with it and the crisis in the middle east is also left for the US to deal with. The US needs to get it’s shit together and help Ukraine but in reality the EU needs to step up massively.
Its a little concerning Europe had been unable to pick up production over the 2 years.

Is Spain, France, Italy, or Germany really worried? If anyone invaded a NATO nation there’d be B2 bombers there in 12 hours.
This entire situation is Trump fault and thousands more will die because of him.
They should call Biden and tell him to make a border deal. Really that easy.
