  10. Only thing Russia has on the west or others is their nuclear missiles. Other than this NATO and others are stronger and more powerful than Russia and can competently destroy much of their conventional forces. The evidence is clear in the fact that they can not budge on Ukraine who has single handedly with wester weapons support pin down and degrade the 3rd largest army on earth. The evidence is clear. They are resorting to WW2 and 1970s armour and prisoners and reserves. It will be hiw much the west will capitulate to any Russian aggression outside of Ukraine when putin threatens to use Nukes. Putin feels he can hold us off and do things by just threatening with his nukes.

  14. Russians are like Chinese, any piece of land that was under Russia’s control at any point in history is considered “historically part of Russia”. And yes they most definitely want Alaska back eventually.

  18. You should always prepare for war with your biggest military rivals. I was a simple Marine reservist in the 1980s, but to me, that’s just common sense.

And if the absolute worst case scenario happens, well I would have gotten to the point. Maybe it’s just another depression cycle of mine but it’s just how I feel rn

On the other hand NATO could bomb the shit out of the russian army without much issue. Are we actually preparing for a nato intervention, or are our leaders trying to justify rapid militarisation? Is NATO expecting ukraine to falter? I don’t understand.

  24. I have the feeling that this fear mongering in the Nato and especially in Europe are to increase the tension and pushing the nerves of some members to do thoughtless “preemptive” actions.

  27. Isn’t the West already at war with Russia in a sense? I mean, we’re sending weapons that we know are being used to fight Russia, we’re providing intelligence, and we’re sanctioning Russia in plain sight.

  32. One of the main problems with this, is that a substantial part of the Western population is pro-Putin. In Europe, pro-Putin parties are even winning many elections. Pro-Putin parties are set to gain a lot of seats in the next EU elections as well.

    How can one prepare himself with so many traitors among us?
