Shocked, I am, that the oil and gas industry lied about how much pollution they were putting out.
Not surprising – oil sands are just about the dirtiest energy source in existence.
I’m from Alberta, home of the infamous Tar Sands and I highly doubt anything will come of this.
Our premier (governor) has been catering to the oil companies and handing them millions in tax payer dollars for her whole term in office. She’s a conspiracy theorist, anti-vax moron and just last night she hosted a big meet and greet with none other than Tucker fucking Carlson.

Nice picture on the article of the natural leach of the tar sands, where the oil is literal oozing out of the ground, better go after mother nature for the environmental disaster she is causing, thankfully humans are extracting it out of the ground and reinstating it into a viable environment when they are done
And this is the poisonous stuff they want to pipeline transport over our pristine aquifers to Gulf Coast refiners.

I watched the documentary in middle school; a doctor went there and found a correlation between the toxins in lake athabasca from the tar sands and the diseased fauna. The government forced him to close his practice for “causing undue alarm”. This country is a business, and a disgustingly inhumane one.
