TIL there’s a Derry and a Londonderry beside each other in New Hampshire, US. Why don’t we do this here? Split it in half and the people that want to live in Derry live there and the people that want to live in Londonderry live there? /s

  4. I drove through there (probably 20yrs ago) saw the signs pointing in opposite directions at a cross roads. Hilarious. No one else on the trip got the joke.

    Unfortunately this was pre-camera phones otherwise I’d have taken a photo.

  10. Londonderry is shit. Just a strip mall and a few chain restaurants.

    Derry is where it’s at. Typically quaint little New England downtown area with a few bars, restaurants and a music venue too.

    First potato planted in America was in Derry also 👍

  13. Yes but do you refer to them as Derry/Londonderry because Derry is higher up on the map, or Londonderry/Derry as reading from left to right?
