“On 1 February we expect the EU to approve a new four-year EUR 50 billion assistance programme for Ukraine – the Ukraine Facility. For the time being, we can say that all 27 EU members have agreed to support this programme,” stated Shmyhal.

The opposing countries signed off on this? I’m surprised yet relieved by this! There must be lots of stuff going behind the scenes that we don’t know about.
Either way, this is good news!
Orban still has to wear the dork-hat tho.
Reconstruction aid is great, but aid for the war is a much higher priority right now. Funds to stop Russia’s fossil fuel exports, for example, would be a great choice.
