Huh, is it just me or are we seeing a lot more footage of fpv drones in close support of infantry recently?
Imagine 10 years ago, someone whould have told you that 10 years in the future russian soldiers would get killed next to an wrecked leopard 2 and a wrecked m113 with a kamikaze-drone….you would never ever had beleived that dude.
Were they using the Leopard and M113 as some sort of honeypot to attract Russian infantry?
I wonder what the story is about the Leopard and the M113. Were they part of some kind of counterattack and were knocked out far enough from friendly lines that they can’t be recovered and are, in fact, something Russian infantry is now walking by on a regular basis? Were they lost holding a Ukrainian position that has been overwhelmed and now are in the rear of Russian lines? Are they sitting out in the No Man’s Land between the two forces and cannot be recovered by the Ukrainians, but meanwhile Russians have to run past them while making raids? The fact that those two vehicles are sitting there is part of a story I will likely never hear.
Another fresh cut for the Mobik-Cube
I think ukraine has understood that the FPV drones have capabilities that artillery does not. The precision, the Intel, the psychological effects… all have extreme value.
Artillery is by no means not important, I just believe that they way they use FPV drones is becoming more involved due to the positives of being able to use it as a weapon and forward scout while maintaining a relatively cheap as dirt price tag.
Kinda funny how it almost looks like fireworks get shot up in the air after an FPV drone lands a direct hit on someone. Michael Bay, eat your heart out.
