The wife of a Russian soldier delivered an emotional appeal for his return from Ukraine on Saturday (January 20) at the election headquarters of President Vladimir Putin, a defiant gesture in a country where open criticism of the war is banned.
She became involved in a heated exchange with a woman who told her that Russian soldiers in Ukraine were defending the motherland and she should pray for them.
“So what’s next? The Ministry of Defense has spent its money, now we need to squeeze everything out of our guys, get the last life out of them? So that they come back to us just as stumps?” Maria Andreyeva demanded.
“Will they give me the stump? What will I get back? A man without legs, without arms, a sick man? Don’t you know what’s happening there?”
The exchange took place during a visit to Putin’s election base by a small delegation from “The Way Home,” an organisation of soldiers’ wives which is campaigning for their return from the front.

I find it difficult to to have empathy for this woman.
Yes she's brave to speak out for her husband but he's there to kill as many Ukrainians as possible whilst invading their country. And she has always known that.
For all those people that still support the Ukraine, maybe take some time and watch this 1hr 24 min video taken in 2015 “War Crimes in Gorlovka – The Anna Tuv Story” You have to bear in mind that Ukraine was the aggressors from the start by shelling the Donbas region back in 2014 where the majority of the population are ethnic Russians, this happened just after the Euro Maidan documented with the 18 un-cut parts of ‘Roses Have Thorns’, Putin did not invade as such but had to intervene back in March 2022, 8 years later.
