Would there be an election coming up soon?

Carla conveniently overlooks (but is getting torn for it in the replies) that every insurance policy in the land is through the roof (as evidenced by this very sub). This is so feeble and obvious.

And for the record, I do wish somebody would do something, but unless Carla and her chums get wider buy in, this will achieve feck all squared. Current insurance trends are entirely unsustainable for everybody.

  1. Chris Harris whatshisface has made multiple deadlines (as someone quite rightly pointed out, he clearly doesn’t know what the meaning of that word is anymore) and has set another one for 8th February 2024 so god knows.

    With regards to her post, surely we should really be improving the teaching for young drivers like what they get in Europe (have to learn to drive in multiple weather conditions and on the motorway) rather than just hoping they’ll stick to 45mph restriction on the motorway for the first year and somehow, miraculously, after that, they know how to handle the higher speeds. Absolutely insanity.

  2. When I was thinking about this today, I realised it would actually make sense for the DUP not to agree a deal with a pending general election coming up. If they do agree to one, they might lose voters splitting off to the TUV and it might cost them seats.

  3. We have an incredibly low bar for politicians here, but I think Lockhart might be one of the least capable. Which is really saying something. She is an absolute fucking dullard.

  4. As an aside, I honestly can’t see why there’s a legal requirement to give private insurance companies a profit. Car insurance should be run by government for zero profit.

  8. When you start seeing dilapidated playgrounds in the newspaper, then, and only then will you know, elections are coming.
