Taiwan has become the Russian arms industry’s main source for high-precision machine tools. Despite its pro-Ukraine rhetoric — Taiwan became Russia’s most important supplier of high-precision metalworking machines.

  1. If that’s true (and I’m not saying it isn’t), they’re literally working against their own survival [Taiwan]!!!

  2. Unbelievable. Money always trumps ethics. This really is a case of Taiwan selling its soul (or tools) to the devil as if Russia takes Ukraine, all bets are off on China invading Taiwan.
Human nature is just depressing isn’t it.

  3. buying taiwanese machinery from some third party crook =/= taiwan support

  4. Taiwan is also the main source of Iranian airplane parts and technicians sanctioned by the US.

Taiwan is also the main source of Hezbollah’s TOW missiles.

Taiwan is North Korea’s favorite place to launder foreign currency.

This is what you get when you have a government controlled by organized crime gangs.

Now the US is expected to lay down the lives of it’s son’s and daughters while expending huge amounts of national wealth to defend an island controlled by Triads that actively undermines US foreign policy while endangering large swaths of the planet.

  5. Insert Armagaedon quote:
“Russian components, American components, All made in Taiwan !”

No but seriously, when taiwan supplies 2/3rd of the world’s microchips third parties will get a hold of them no matter what and end up in the wrong hands, have we all forgotten western and even Irish engines in Shihads ?! This is an issues across the board …

  6. Bullshit. Russia is making massive imports from china, north Korea and others… Even if Taiwan exported some tools, there is no reason or way that they can be the biggest supplier.

This is obvious manipulation against Taiwan with zero evidence.

Russia/china trying to divide their enemies. Don’t fall for it

  7. If you felt offended, then you have bought into the propaganda. This is BS.

  8. Just don’t give them money anymore, You’ll see how they’ll stop sending their crap to decadent countries afterwards.

  9. WTF !! Why are we then supporting Taiwan?? Why Would we support Taiwan ?? Let the Chinese have them !!!

  10. I feel the US should have a chat with Taiwan. If nothing more confirms, this isn’t Chinese propaganda.

  11. Yeah, this sounds like BS, that goes against Taiwan’s self-interest

  12. The title is b******* based on the article itself. Taiwan is a very loose term.

Some Taiwanese machine tool manufacturers are supplying machinery, but the article says it’s happening through third country trans shippers.

This is the same way that almost every country in Europe and the United States is accidentally supplying Russia with some limited assistance.

  13. very “in”-credible source. How is gru carrier going?

In particular because the most important high precision metalworking machinery is made in Germany and US, even Taiwan is dependent on. So next time you wobble some random article out of your shirt at least tell us how much they paid you.

  14. I’m shocked how quick so many people are to believe that Taiwan is deliberately selling to the Russians based on just one article. Where’s your propaganda-detector? All sorts of Western components are in Russian weapons, that doesn’t mean that the U.S. and Germany are selling them to Russia.

  15. Asia likes money. They don’t give two Sh*ts about human lives.

  16. Fuck em. This is the shit Isreal does. Actively working against their biggest supporters geopolitical interest.

  17. If other countries have to provide permission for the resale of their manufactured goods why couldn’t Taiwan impose the same conditions?

  18. So? Are these state representatives giving them away to Russia or are they individual manufacturers and sellers acting within lawful commerce to sell goods to Russian citizens or businesses in much the same way other western companies are allowed to do in most democratic nations? I don’t support any business practice that benefits Russia, and it’s sad to see some percentage of Taiwan’s people willing to support the friend of their enemy, but even the article’s provided graph indicates they’re just chasing profits considering the melting pot of nations that’s represented.

  19. From the comments here it seems nobody has a fucking clue about machining or what Taiwan is exporting.

  20. Been wanting to know where they fuck they’re getting chips for their weapon targeting systems…

  21. The most difficult part is if they expressed this to the free world and did not get it! This is how democracy shoots it self in the foot.

  22. Dude this is obvious disinformation… Taiwanese here, we have China as a vile neighbor and I promise you, 99.99% stand with Ukraine.we loathe dictator like pootin and Winnie Xi

  23. It’s not surprising. Taiwan is a major manufacturing economy. 40% of Taiwan exports go to China. I’d expect that Russia imports from China.

  24. Hilarious considering Russia will back China when it all goes down.
