It’s taken me long enough to realize that asking our representatives to simply “pressure” Mike Johnson to schedule a vote is not enough anymore.
We need to demand that our representatives who support Ukraine file a motion to vacate the chair in order to remove Speaker Johnson. With the current makeup of the house, it would only take around 4 to 5 house republicans to side with the Democrats to remove Mike Johnson and replace him with someone who would actually schedule a simple up-or-down vote on aid to Ukraine.
As an American, I just want to say that I’m so sorry about what our Republican-strangled government is doing. I live in a district with a Democrat Representative, they already support Ukraine, so I don’t feel like there’s much that I can do.
