All these layoffs are not because of AI but rather greed.
During the pandemic things were so crazy that ebay gave out multiple 10% off coupons, maximum value $1,000. Since you can buy anything on ebay and the prices are generally competitive, this is basically just giving away $1,000, each time. You could get 10% off a car or gold or anything else. It was wild.
