  4. Not saying it’s nothing; some items will have an effect especially because it gives the reasonable people among the civil servants something to argue against the nationalists that are also plenty among the civil servants. But it isn’t that ambitious. In particular, I notice

    (1) Use of overly unspecific language. Not “examination of the pending applications” but only “initiation”.

    (2) Some measures affect only a very small group and you wonder why it has not been done since long long. Export of dried molohiya will surely not affect the any Greek Cypriot and also there are no health concerns. Also it’s not known in Turkey so no little chance that they would import it from Turkey. So why did that even need any second thought?

    (3) Some of the wording is just to make the list appear longer. 9 and 10 in particular are artificially made into two separate items, could easily go together. Also if they don’t “ensure the smooth operation of the sewage plant”, then all of Nicosia, north and south, will suffer in shit, so that’s anyways a no-brainer that does not need to be listed.

  5. And nothing will change. We should actually deny citizenships to anyone that doesn’t condemn Turkey constantly if we want true change. Didn’t the British and all Europeans literally take citizenships from Russian people just because they didn’t condemn Russian 24h/24h? So legally we could do the same. Everyone else does it.
