  1. – Villa match

    – Derby goals in the FA cup final

    – Captain for the treble

    Absolutely

  2. 100% not a doubt in my mind.

such a shame to see him being used incorrectly at Barka

  3. Without any shadow of a doubt. Bloody sky blue legend 🔵💙💙 CTID 👍

  4. Yes, that FA cup performance and lifting our 1st ever UCL trophy cemented it. Not to mention his performances over the years with all the injuries.

  5. Absolutely! Mr Whippy was so clutch whenever we needed him the most. It still hurts me that we let him go..

  6. He is a club hero for me.

Just can’t simply be dishing out legendary status to everyone.

  7. not really a debate. he singlehandley won us multiple trophies with game winning goals

  8. People forget 20/21 when KDB was injured, Gundo stepped up in the post Christmas run that secured the title.

Clutch in 22/23 sealed it for me.

    Legend

  9. Considering your other legend are Paul Dickov and Shaun Goater then yes most certainly.

  10. RANT ALERT!!!

It’s so sad to see him struggle in Barca. I just finished watching them get thrashed by Villarreal. He’s so good but the rest of the team, especially the defence, is so bad that he can’t do anything. I wish he comes back or leaves Barca for a team where he can be appreciated.

Disclaimer: I just got done watching the match just five minutes ago so it’s fresh in my head so I had to rant somewhere.

  11. Legends are borne from two things: longevity and moments you’ll remember. Gundo is a little short on longevity (but not by much!) but absolutely has the moments. The performance and goal to win the 22/23 title is right up there alongside Aguero’s goal, Kompany’s goal against Leicester, and Dickov’s goal.

I think he’s in that category, but I could see why some might count him just on the outside looking in.

We’ve been absolutely spoilt as a fanbase for the past decade with midfield talent between Yaya, David, Fernandinho, Rodri, Gundo, Kev, and Bernardo. That’s probably seven of the 20/30 best midfielders in Premier League history.
