All this will do is increase the price of drugs on the street for a time, causing addicts to do more crime to fund their addiction, causing more victims, then new drug dealers will take over the supply.
The war on drugs is the worse public policy failure of the last 100 years

Seriously, how much money could I make selling drugs in London? Are we talking £100k salaries or £1m? Inflation is killing me and I’m thinking of a career change.
