  1. it’s alright, i’ll stand at the front and play a few unskippable 30 second youtube ads off my phone 👍🏼

  2. I’ll be honest, this would be disastrous for me.

  3. I’ll make some passive aggressive comments to myself because I occasionally choose to a watch a film on my laptop.

  4. So I’d still have popcorn, coke and the will to live by the time the movie starts?
    Sign me up!

  5. This also means the “secret pirate film crews” will save memory on their devices

  6. They aren’t apologising for the lack of ads lol, their apology is aimed at the many people who will now miss the opening of the film due to expecting it to start 15 mins or whatever after the set start time as usual, I don’t think I’ve ever been sat in my seat at the set start time, I like to watch the upcoming film ads but no I’m not getting there in time to watch the Volvo and EE ads before that.

  7. So many people would miss most of the movie by trying to miss the ads.

  8. I don’t mind the trailers but hell no to advertisements

  9. I mean, this is why I purposely go in late. All that stuff at the beginning is around 20-25 minutes, which gives you a at least a good 15 minutes to work with.

Also, can they stop with that obnoxious, black, 20 something year old voice (I’m not being racist, I’m specifying because you know what I mean) in the room of darkness being OTT about phones that lasts way too long.

  10. I always come 20-30 mins late to avoid ads lol. I’d miss the movie if this happened to me!

  11. This happened when I saw one of the Bond films.

15 minutes into the film people were arriving, shining their phone torches to find their seats.
