  1. “… so I’m gonna ignore everything in their Bible”

  2. “Losing my religion” would be a good song to sum up the last trilogy.

  3. Given the cult like nature of some fans he wasn’t wrong.

  4. A lot of people here not understanding the point is that they *shouldn’t* take it that seriously.

  5. Can confirm. The Force is my spiritual practice. I carry a lightsaber on the daily.

No amount of shit movies will make me turn away from the universe Lucas unveiled.

I will however carry the torch of hatred for bad content to my grave and profess my love for the great works to everyone I meet.

  6. I haven’t been a fan of SW for long. It’s been like 1 year since I watched the movies and like 6 months since I started interacting with the fandom, and I have to say. It’s by far the worst fandom I’ve ever been in. Like GoT fans during s8, Marvel fans during Captain Marvel, and DC fans during the Restore the Snyderverse movement simply don’t compare to how toxic Star Wars fans are now, let alone during the release of the prequel/sequel movies.

  7. “This is a religion for people, and your going to be their anti Christ”

  8. An original thought and a cold glass of water could kill ‘ol JJ

  9. Funny that he got that right because he didn’t get anything else right.

  10. Anything with a fandom is a religion for people. It’s in the name. They’re fanatics. It’s heavy because when I hear that I think of what fanatics are willing to do, which is why fame is a curse. It’s good to point that out to people who want to be famous because they expect lots of money, but it cost yourself 24/7 and it’s easy to forget that. When you’re not working you still are because you sold yourself as a brand.

  11. “This Is a Religion for People” and he is heretic: “Look at me I`m star wars now. J.J. Abrams”.

  12. Passionate fans get shit on by directors who make shitty movies.

  13. I mean, comments aside, there are people who get so into fandoms or philosophies that any other opinion or person not on “Their side” is heresy. Subs dedicated to franchises often have long threads about gatekeeping and so on.

I’m sure I don’t have to point out the irony of a group that ususally disdains organized religion having a fanatical love towards their favorite product.

  14. Cumsocks acting like this is extra reason to be offended
