Moreover, Ukraine even transferred these missiles to the Russian Federation along with the Tu-22 at one time as payment for the natural gas debts. It is almost impossible to shoot down Kh-22 missiles flying along a ballistic trajectory with conventional Ukrainian air defense systems. This 5-ton missile can be shot down by a complex like Patriot, or other complexes capable of shooting down ballistics.
The photograph shows that the US helped Ukraine destroy strategic weapons.

This is very sad
Nobody talks about this and this is the reason to help Ukraine
Travesty. We should be boots on the ground for this.
We have a lot of AK-74 on 24.02.22 still…
Ukraine had no choice. The country was under pressure from all sides. USA, Western European countries, Russia. Western countries were intimidated with sanctions and isolation if Ukraine retained nuclear weapons and their delivery systems, which were inherited from the USSR. At that time, there was an economic crisis in Ukraine, the army, police, and civil servants often simply had nothing to pay, there was significant inflation, and the population’s incomes fell sharply. Production decreased, infrastructure required modernization and investment. As a result, Ukraine agreed to all conditions and extracted economic assistance from the West in exchange, as well as large volumes of gas in exchange for missiles from Russia.
Ukraine needs those weapons back it seems.
What a horrible mistake…
Ukraine did not have the economic power to keep these weapons operational. If these weren’t destroyed they would have fallen in to disarray within 5 years.
Better provide modern ready-to-use weapons.
All in all, Ukraine returned to Russia approximately 1500 cruise missiles of various types. It is highly likely that some of them have been used against Ukraine. They also returned some of their bombers and I believe they’re definitely still flying with the Russian aerospace forces.
4D Chess
Never again.
USA had to protect Ukraine since Crimea was invaded. Russia is total quilty but there is an American passive hand on this invasion too. We can’t ignore it.
It prooves that Russia was playing a long game. Russian interest was to disarm Ukraine. USA was a useful idiot in this scenarion.
