A Russian MT-LB with a landing party supported by a tank advanced in the direction of the positions of 100th TDF brigade. MT-LB and infantry came under heavy fire and tank hit a mine. Crew tried to escape on foot.

As fighters claim last scene is tank driver. Video was extracted from his phone.

  2. Wow this video is epic, wish I could read it. They have patched together defensive areal footage with offensive ground footage somehow. The editing is great to give a real time picture. They must have somehow captured the Russian POV part of the video. And the toofless author at the end.

At one point, you can see a Ukrainian RPG fire and hit the POV tank (see it both aerial and POV). Must have been successful because shortly after a crew jumps out.

  3. They dropped the infantry like… 30 metres before the position ( They even got “lucky” and the first RPG/ AT4 misses them ~0:42 if you watch under the “stop + timestamp” marker lower right side) while the tank was taking its sweet time ?

    Ok…

Edit: Man, the old guy entering the tank kinda looks like my gramps brother. Only that he died peacefully in his sleep, at age 91 (had a kink for vinegar on chips after he was a british PoW tho…).

  4. i wonder what the first explosion was . seems large for a shell

  5. 0:02 Enemy’s armored group – a tank and a MTLB with troops – depart for the assault

    0:50 Assault group suffers fire

1:13 Enemy tank blows up on a mine

1:39 Tank crew runs away from the tank, but the driver loses the phone

1:46 The Volyn territorial defense finish up the remains of the assault group

2:13 One of the faces of the glorious Russia army – the tank driver a couple of days before his infamous end

  6. I don’t understand these low volumed vehicle and infantry attacks on a position that I imagine are probably quite frequently done. Just seems like a quick way to lose a couple dozen soldiers and some armor.

I guess they could be probing for a weak spot in the Ukrainian defensive line to know where they could invest more men and equipment, but damn thats gotta be a pain in the ass.

  7. “vanka you’re going to lead the assault in the golf cart” is when i would have walked out
