Scottish aid to UNRWA agency paused after Hamas attack claims

  1. I personally think there needs to be significant distinction between the individuals who were apart of this attack, and the literal thousands of UNRWA workers who just want to help Palestinians, and provide help for them.

    I don’t think cutting all aid is very helpful, or logical.

  2. How do you employ 13,000 people in a place like Gaza without some of them being Hamas sympathisers, even pre-war?

    I didn’t really know anything about UNRWA before the most recent conflagration. However reading about them since, it seemed pretty clear there has been quite a bit of controversy, with things like school textbooks and how summer camps were conducted, I kind of kept a mental note to try and keep track of whether they are getting the balance of working in a Hamas controlled environment right.

    I don’t think this actually tells us anything at all about that.

  3. Even if a few of their staff are guilty, is that any reason civilians should be left to starve?
