I get that this is pretty fucked all around, but with how powerful these tools are getting is it even possible to regulate? Even if the US and EU clamp down hard on AI deepfakes, what is stopping someone from hiring a troll farm in Myanmar to make more with some forked API?
Realistically, I don’t know if any celebrity (or, hell, anyone with pictures of them on social media at all) can reasonably expect any form of privacy

I doubt there will ever be a law against this stuff. Literally anyone can do it.
