  1. From all I’ve seen of video so far, there is nothing conclusive. I’m going to have to see the Russians line up all 65 Ukrainian corpses in order for me to believe them. Russians lie, lie, lie.  

    Until I see proof, the Russians are lying to deflect the embarassment of losing yet another IL-76.

  8. Russia rejected calls for an international investigation on this plane crash. That’s literally all you need to know about the ‘POW’s’.

    Also, why tf are people still listening to a country that claimed that MH-17 was stuffed with dead bodies before the flight? They lost any signs of credibility years ago.

  11. There were no Ukrainian prisoners on board.

    – The plane was going from Belgorod in the direction north-east, presumably to moscow. It would make sense to fly prisoners to Belgorod for a prisoner exchange, but not from Belgorod to Moscow.

    – Russia presented a video which purpotedly shows how the prisoners board the plane. The video is heavily cut end edited, has no timestamp and shows no prisoners but a few trucks entering the plane and only 5 or 6 individual persons. Most importantly however the video was geolocated to be shot on an airport in Moscow, which doesn’t match the flying direction of the plane away from Belgorod.

    – Russia had ample time to present evidence of the bodies, yet so far only 5 bodies have been confirmed. That is most likely just the crew of the Airplane.

    So, as always russia is lying through their teeth. Who shot down the plane is still not entirely clear, most likely it was Ukraine with either Patriot or S-300. It could however also been shot down by trigger-happy russian air defense.

  12. Just give them a few more days. The plane crashed in a remote area. It’s not that easy to transport 65 prisoners there.

    The Russian state said the plane was full of PoWs.

    They wouldn’t lie. They are historically 100% trustworthy.

  14. It’s too late… way too many newspapers ate the Russian disinformation hook, line, and sinker. Its easier to spread a lie than correcting it.

  15. Russians managed to divert the attention from Ukrainian success in downing yet another enemy air asset. Every news outlet and youtube “analyst” swallowed hook, line and sinker. They might be bad at waging a war, but Russians know the info ops stuff Lenin taught them.

  17. Once the F-16s turn up . Every time a Russian jet gets shot down it would have been magically transporting a sick child to hospital .

  22. Why does this statement need *”Ukraine says”* at the end of it? There either is or there isn’t evidence. Qualifying this statement with *”Ukraine says”* makes it sound like there is doubt, a matter of opinion. Thus far, Russia has provided no evidence to support their claim. **No evidence for Russia’s claim that dozens of POWs died in plane crash.**

  23. In the tv show Chernobyl, during the final trial, even the main character says “Russia is always behind the west because our nation is built on lies”

  25. The flight trajectory is totally inconsistent with this being a craft intended to transport anything *to* Ukraine. It was heading NE from Belgorod and it’s a big, long haul aircraft.
