Kobe was always the guy I loved to hate. If you had told me before his death that his passing would affect me, I would’ve shrugged you off. How wrong I was. It’s still a fucking gut punch, RIP, Kobe and Gianna.
This crash was devastating. *NINE PEOPLE DIED*. Including ~~3/4’s~~ 3/5 of a family; husband, wife, and daughter. I believe they had ~~another child~~ two more children ~~that wasn’t on the helicopter and lost their entire family at once.~~
Another teammate/child and her mother were killed. Plus the coach and helicopter pilot. So at least 5 families were absolutely destroyed. I can’t even begin to imagine the collective trauma of the girls from the basketball team (the crash happened after leaving Gianna’s basketball game.)
I still remember Colorado in 2004. Thanks Kobe 🙏 forever a hero
