  5. Hundreds, thousands, of billions sent to Afghanistan, but only a misery for Ukraine ? It’s pretty clear U.S want to keep war, and so on weakness, in the area: this is what logic says.
    So logic is to expect EU to boost its military industry and to take distance with this false ally.
    I think Ukrainians should take really care about not getting absorbed by U.S influence, but they aren’t stupid and they know what the “deal” is. Nations only know their pure own interest. The only real allies are the close ones, geographically.

  29. The democrats have the republicans over a barrel and can secure political leadership power for the next 3 election cycles if they give the repubs everything they want on the border. If the repubs still refuse the offer they will lose every election in any swing state because their base will mutiny on them just like they did in Northern Georgia in recent past by not showing up to vote. This is the perfect trap to really hurt the repubs if the text of the bill show the dems offered everything. If I was Biden I would shut down the border preemptively just to sucker them into the deal to get Ukraine funding. And if they still refuse they would be screwed and in a yr they could give Ukraine whatever they wanted and get whatever they wanted on a variety of issues. You just gotta set the trap! Its perfect!

  32. We abandoned Syria after supporting them and actually having boots on the ground, why would Republicans treat Ukraine any differently?

  33. European leaders + Trudeau were laughing at Trump when he told them during a NATO meeting to up the budget to the agreed upon 2% GDP. This was is 2018. During that same meeting he said that Germany was totally controlled by Russia. Everyone laughed at Trump and didn’t take him seriously.

    Guess what Europe, get your act together. I’m fully supporting Ukraine, but we have a border crisis ourselves with Biden doing exactly nothing about it. Despite Democratic governors and mayors complaining about immigrants flooding their cities and states.
