Social unrest will happen because of this and the combination of the rise in the cost of living.
It might take a while, but once young people realise that the only real plausible way of buying their own house is through inheritance or a rich family, they are going to not bother working in the first place.
Society is becoming a serfdom for everyone but the rich.
You don’t get wage uplift by requesting it and appealing to corporations’ morality. They don’t have one. You get wage uplift by influencing the market conditions, either reducing supply or increasing demand, so workers have more bargaining power because they’re less replaceable. This will be one of the main benefits of leaving the EU. And it’s been given a boost by Covid, because a lot of people got furloughed and took a step back to realise how shit their job was, and either moved to one which offered better pay or conditions or came back to demand those better conditions from their employer.
Tory response : AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…No. Go fuck yourself, stupid peons. Have you tried not being poor?
Nearly 200 years on and Marx remains correct about absolutely everything
I wonder if executives will choose to pay themselves less or not…
You demand it by going on strike. Asking nicely has never worked and workers need to realise this if they want to actually get something. The rich are greedy and will not want to sacrifice profit or their own wage to help those further down the ladder, forcing them to give it up is the only chance they have. If executives wanted to help employees out then they would have done so by now.
