I got my license at the end of last year and I feel confident on the road as well. Recently , I got honked at some points taking the U-turn( no ‘U-turn prohobitted’ was present). This honking really makes me nervous on the road as I think of doing some mistakes. So i need some help about the situation on the pictures:
Pic 1: This intersection is controlled by traffic lights. So I’m taking the u-turn (following the red arrow on the picture) and as of my knowledge I know that to take the u-turn I have to let the oncoming traffic pass. Do I have to also wait for the car(green circle) to finish it’s right turn?
Pic 2: This is a gap in the divider/lane separator. I want take the u-turn (following the red arrow). Here as well I have to let the oncoming car pass. Though if anyone taking a right turn following the green arrow who has to wait? Here I’m on a priority road.
Looking forward to your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance ! 🙏

There is no U-Turn in german traffic rules.
There are two consequential left turns, with yielding right of way accordingly.
Pic2 shouldnt be much of a problem, you have to look out for oncoming traffic and people who turn right.
Pic1, where i hope you didnt not drive over the pedestrian island, isnt a place I’d a ~~left~~ **u-**turn at all, way to difficult of a crossing. Do three rights instead.
First, honestly, I would be extremely cautious with doing U turns and avoid them if possible. Many people don’t anticipate U turns.
For the first pic it’s quite clear to me that you have to let the green one pass.
For the second pic, if you are at the end of the red arrow you are basically turning left. Meaning you have to let the green arrow pass before you can continue your turn.
Just my personal thinking, I’m not a traffic lawyer or something.
Just…
don’t u-turn in Germany.
almost always give way. rechts vor links, and in a *lot* of places this is a forbidden maneuver. Just follow the road markings
