  1. I will never understand the mentality of people who willingly put a knife into another human being, let alone a couple of kids (unless it’s in extreme self-defence and your life depends on it, of course – which is almost certainly not the case here).

Too many lunatics are walking the streets with us and it seems like they don’t get dealt with until they’ve killed innocent people.

And before people say “statistically, it’s rare” – tell that to the parents of these kids.

  2. Such a waste and just so fucking sad that a mentality like this is almost becoming normalised in the UK amongst certain groups

  3. As a child psychologist once said. I may not be the best parent but I raised my kids well enough to pay for their own psychotherapy.

  4. A 44 year old man is out here stabbing teenagers.

    100% not his first crime

  5. Disgusting. Anyone who sticks a knife in someone, unless in self defence and lucky enough there was one close by of course, loses their right to be called a human. Subhuman, barbaric behaviour. Throw away the fucking key.

  6. Questions whenever I read this will always be:

    -where

    -who

    -why

No answer however will justify something like this, of course.

  7. Whoever did this needs to be locked up never to see the light of day again.

  8. “It is extremely important there should be no commentary or sharing of information or images online which could in any way prejudice and any future proceedings.

“It can be an offence to identify anyone who witnessed all or part of the incident as well as those who have been arrested.

“I’d also like to remind people of the impact the sharing of images, footage or even discussing the incident online may have on the families of the two boys. They are already going through the most difficult of times and you may cause them further upset.”

  9. This is incredibly sad. But unusual that the BBC are reporting on this. Its happening all the time, especially in London.

Very sad, thoughts for their families. Hope justice is served and the motive is discovered.

  10. Real victims or just gangster roadmen?

It would be good to tag such stories so we know how much sympathy to have.

  11. I had a (what I thought) was really cool flick knife on my keys when I was a teenager (hidden from parents obviously), i got it from a market, thought I was the shit flicking it around on my fingers and spinning it etc. (basically like a fidget spinner, had no intentions of harming anything/anyone)

I was in Tesco’s one night with a friend who’d got the same one, an we was both walking round the store to the games/movie section doing our spinny/flick tricks with them and Police who’d stopped at the store for a coffee etc. walked in. The staff put them onto us, both got arrested and I’ll always, I mean always have huge praise for the fear these officers put into both of us.

They arrested us, got us near the tills where everyone was, then decided to cuff us in front of everyone while loudly telling us why; some woman shopping started absolutely berating us, calling us scumbags etc. and to this day I’ve never felt like such a piece of shit. They kept this sort of ‘act’ going on the drive to the station, asking us if we’ve been to prison before, asking us why we thought we was bigger then the law and who we was going to kill. They really shook us up, then kept us in cells for 18 hours. I’ll never forget it, and I deeply thank those officers, who knows if a situation may of happened where we me and my friend may of felt threatened and decided to pull that knife out as a means of defence, but the way they handled us made sure we both never did anything stupid again.

  12. Why do we accept this shit?

I wonder if say, in the entire 60 year history of Singapore, has a teenage stabbing – let alone a double stabbing – occurred?

  13. UK is becoming super dangerous, I work in the hospital in Luton. Seeing all this and having young kids we are seriously contemplating moving to France to the Alps where my partner grew up. Countryside there much safer than anywhere here now

  14. Unfortunately the law is not strict enough to deter people from carrying knives.

Unfortunately the law is not strict enough in most instances.
