I have this movie downloaded but I only speak and read english (obviously) and there are no captions, I would even take Icelandic subtitles because I could probably just translate them

They don’t exist for free anywhere. You could hire a translator or, less legally, someone to find a physical copy to rip the subtitles for you. Maybe you can find a DVD for sale online and get it shipped.
But the state of Icelandic TV/movies is just abhorrent, given you’ve been here for a week trying to find a place to watch this movie with English subtitles.
I watched it last summer on Icelandair’s in-flight entertainment system. English subtitles were available.
If you’re *really* desperate to see this you could book a flight and see if it’s still there…
