Elon Musk’s New Whim: Tesla Workers Must Sleep on Assembly Line. Musk is warning his workers that they’ll have to sleep — and from the sounds of it, practically live — at the company’s Texas manufacturing plant so that the carmaker can produce an affordable electric vehicle for the masses.

We’d probably be better off if somehow Tesla could be shutdown.
Honestly who the heck would work for this guy. I’m all for working hard, very hard, but not everybody likes to totally abandon their family for the sake of their career.
Reference point: Elon spent Christmas Eve working at the dumpster fire that is now Twitter. He is the richest guy in the world, so clearly he needs no money. Yet he would rather spend Christmas Eve working than being with any of his 11 children. Guy has no values, and then expects the same of his workers? Some leader.
Elon is a fucking jackass. When production is behind schedule, more expensive than presumed, and of poor quality, zero people should be surprised. This is incredibly obviously a stupid way to run a production line and will only lead to mistakes and inefficiency. Elon clearly has some technical ability and knowledge, but he is completely naive when it comes to managing people. He is an idiot and an asshole.
Tesla workers are already grossly underpaid compared to workers for the Big 3. Now, to add insult to injury, he also wants them to give up their lives and sell their souls to the company. I won’t be surprised if they decide to join the UAW after all.
Can we stop making a new post every time Elon says something or posts on X. It’s bizarre. We complain about everything he does yet make him newsworthy by nonstop posts of it.
Strange how Stellantis manages to build an even more affordable 18k EV without treating their workers like slaves
Elon Musk did not become a billionaire because he’s smart. He became a billionaire by being corrupt, dishonest, abusive and egotistical. AND tesla’s QC is non existent.
Tesla workers should consider organizing a union… assuming they wish to continue working for someone who says stuff like that.
I thought it was April first, but unfortunately, it’s still January.
It’s pretty incredible!
Doesn’t the Fair Labor Standards Act require that they be paid for the entire time workers are at the plant? Does Tesla really plan to pay them 128 hours of overtime per week?
So freedom, so fresh.
