Just in case anyone was in any doubt as to whether the Orange Order were involved in the secret deals between the British Government and the party which represents 21% of NI voters.

We can all rest assured that, just like Loyalist paramilitaries and their spokesmen, and just like the DUP themselves, this Orange lodge (and all the others) are comprised of experts in international trade, trade law, international law, diplomacy etc. And not just a bunch of sworn sectarian bigots desperately trying to cling to the last artifice of British control in NI.

  2. Sad old men in their dressing up clubs desperate to stay relevant.

  3. Can some journalist not start an investigative series into “Who _actually_ runs the DUP?” Because it never seems to be the politicians, should the electorate not know who and what they’re voting for? How many different groups do they answer to that aren’t the voters themselves?

And before the whatabouters show up, aye do the same to SF too.

  4. Fuck me this timeline is so boring. Someone invent a time machine so I can skip ahead a few years til next season so I can finally stop looking a Jeffrey’s fruity wee face

  5. Fucksake, guess this means that cunting marching & protesting season is going to start really fucking early this year.

  6. I imagine that in 40 years time. Sinn Fein will have statues of Arlene Foster, Jeffrey Donaldson and a few other chief Unionists outside of their offices to celebrate their huge contributions to a united Ireland!

It’s debatable whether or not the glorified county council that is the assembly in Stormont serves the public interest. But for the sake of argument let’s say that it does. The DUP threw their toys out of the pram because they would not work with the Sinn Fein first Minister. Between the various demographic shifts since the last election and public anger over the boycott antics of the DUP. I cannot see how Sinn Fein does not happen even bigger majority after the next election.

I have asked before and I will ask again, what happens then? Keep Stormont closed indefinitely, a return to direct rule which the English Parliament has ruled out, maintain the current status quo of senior civil servants running things?

  7. Ahh the DUP… or Daft Uncooperative Pipsqueaks. Ruining the futures of both Northern Ireland and Southern Irelands peoples with dogmatic, stubborn rhetoric designed to keep their old school beliefs alive and themselves in the manner in which they’ve grown accustomed over the years.

    I knew there was a reason I left…

Bigots and self serving politicians. Not one jot interested in the future, only interested in keeping themselves in power to line their own pockets and ego.

    Anyone disagree?

  8. I fucking don’t fucking remember seeing the fucking Orange Lodge on the fucking ballot paper.
