Funny how agriculture is the single most impactful thing we need to adapt to prevent ecocide but farmers are more concerned with their own selfish goals. What they’re doing is almost as absurd as throwing soup at a painting.
Ive seen a lot of people talking how you should not “disrespect” the people that give you food, therefore you should support them immediately…
I don’t want to be that guy, but current welfare system is the only reason they can exist.
On the one side there’s unchained capitalism where Europe gets flooded with cheap ass food from Ukraine and 2nd/3rd world. And on the other is good ol’ collectivisation.
So even though it might seem that they have immense amount of power, it’s all held up by rethoric and traditions. But whatever power there’s left for them, they make sure to squeeze it to the last drop.
EU is killing the farmers with stupid quotas, taxes and sustainable lunatic bullshit…
I really don’t f* understand this people in the brussels high castle, it’s like every single move these fools make it’s a nail in Europe coffin.
Worst of luck to them. They started blocking roads and dumping the load of trucks coming from Spain in the 70s. Fifty years later and they still haven’t figured out how to make their business profitable, despite massive public aids?
At which point can they arrest them for destruction of property/public goods?
By now, ive had enough of these ppl..
French farmers are mentally ill, it’s on the news for 3 days now that they destroy Romanian trucks with food, making the poor Romanian lose millions of euros.
all I see is farmers demanding while not offering any solutions.
