Rather that moment in Belgorod when Ukraine intelligence kinda smirked at the idea that some high profile had been injured badly- important enough to request an immediate helicopter.
They said they would stay quiet on it and wait for Russia to talk cause at the beginning of the war, Shoigu was thought to be killed in strike in Donbas if I am not wrong… but now maybe they are leveraging this kinda thought to tease …

He is having super duper top secret planning meeting with Black Sea fleet commander Sokolov who oddly enough hasn’t been seen since Sep 27 last year. Must be very important meeting. I think more generals will join them soon!

Just like the 100 previous “people haven’t been seen in a while” he probably just didn’t have a reason to publicly appear. Big whoop. I guess it’s easy to reporting to make, nobody’s gonna hold those journalists to account once he reappears.

I’m not saying this for sure will happen, but be on the lookout for Prigozhin in a cheap Russian toupee masquerading as Gerasimov. Yes, the rest of the world will immediately recognize him, but Russian citizens will be forced to deny this and insist it’s Gerasimov, and it will be glorious.

There is no way Putin can admit that. If he is dead, it will be because of some smoking accident.
If they were to admit that Ukraine killed their top General and that Russia didn’t have a way to protect its brass, that would be a massive admittance of weakness.
I remember at the beginning of the war people thinking he was some legendary theorist who rewrote Russian doctrine. He was always just another drunken clown 🤡.

On a more serious note: Several high-ranking officials have dropped from the radar for a bit of time every now and then. Doesn’t mean they’re dead. (Would be nice, though)

If the Ukraine may continue halting all Russia assaults, inflicting heavy casualties and gathering up sizeable forces, it may launch another major offensive by mid- 2026, and finish the war.
