***Το*** r/Aromanian ***είναι μια κοινότητα αφιερωμένη στους Αρμάνους/Βλάχους, μια μειονότητα που υπάρχει και στην Ελλάδα η οποία δυστυχώς δεν εκπροσωπείται ικανοποιητικά, ειδικά στο ίντερνετ. Έφτιαξα αυτήν την κοινότητα για να βοηθήσω στην διάδοση της κουλτούρας και στην δημιουργία ενδιαφέροντος για αυτούς τους ανθρώπους.***

***Το subreddit δεν έχει καμία αποσχιστική πρόθεση, η να προωθήσει μίσος και ρατσισμό προς άλλους, παρόλο που μερικές αναρτήσεις μπορεί να μοιάζουν να το κάνουν. Ο μόνος σκοπός είναι ι διαφήμιση της Αρμάνικης/Βλάχικης κουλτούρας (και γλώσσας).***

r/Aromanian ***is a community dedicated to the Aromanian/Vlach people, a minority also present in Greece, which, unfortunately, are not as well represented, especially online. So I created this community to help spread the word about their culture and (hope) to bring interest about them.***

***The subreddit has no separatist intentions or to promote the hatred/racism of others, although some posts may reflect otherwise, it is just sarcasm. It only aims to promote the beautiful Aromanian culture (and language).***

***Everyone is welcome to join and not only that, but also contribute to the subreddit, which would be amazing.***

  3. Vlachs are not a minority. There were greek vlachs, Romanian vlachs ,Albanian vlachs and so on.
    It’s a way of living, shepherds moving through the whole country depending on the weather.

    Τελικά ίσως είχε -μοναδική φορά- δίκιο η Μενδωνη που εκοψε φραγκα απο κατι συλλογους κ την κραζαν αλλα απο ο,τι φαινεται ηταν συλλογοι που εψηναν να εγειρουν θεμα μειονοτητας -εδιτ: τετοια βρωμα κυκλοφορησε, μπορει να ειναι κ αλλοι οι λογοι, δεν ειμαι ειδικος επι του θεματος, αλλα κοιτα ρε που εσκασε ο αλλος ο “μειονοτητας” εδω μεσα τυχαια…

Greeks Vlachs are historicaly and completely assimilated, and while some still use their language at the family dinner table in order to flex at their kids, they don’t really have a distinct culture of their own. They grew up Greek, fought for the Greek state, and they will proudly proclaim their Greekness. They is nothing funnier than listening to a Vlach arguing with a Sarakatsani about who is more Greek than the other.

    Also, what are those posts about “Greater Pindus” and “Aegean Macedonia”? Irredentist dogwhistling.
