Oh, sure, “just 12 people”. It’s not like the entire purpose of UNRWA is to make sure that palestinians will stay in refugee status forever, stay in Gaza and serve as hamas conscription base.
Personally I don’t have any feelings about the UNRWA – if people are guilty of supporting terrorism then they should be held accountable.
But there needs to be some agency providing humanitarian support – swathes of Gaza are being razed to the ground, without external aid it’ll become uninhabitable. Are there other agencies which will pick up the slack? Or do people just not care about the 2m inhabitants of the Gaza Strip?

My understanding it’s 12 employees names under interrogation from Israel with zero trials. For an organization that employs 13k and it’s not even like senior leadership is being accused.
Do people saying that UNRWA should be defunded on this basis hold such similar tough standards for all organizations? Even if far less then 1% of workers are “guilty” of crimes? Seems we have to shutdown a lot of companies, police departments and militaries if that was the standard

Based on a comparison of UNRWA’s refugee figures and the assessments of James Lindsay, a former UNRWA legal adviser who has written extensively on the differences between UNHCR and UNRWA:
* Almost all of Jordan’s 2.2 million UNRWA-designated refugees would likely lose their status under UNHCR criteria.
* Most of Syria’s 560,000.
* Just under half of Lebanon’s 521,000.
* All 2.17 million UNRWA-designated refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem would lose that status were those areas to become parts of a sovereign Palestinian state.
This would leave a refugee total of a little over half a million.
At least they practice what they preach.
How is possible that status of refugee is inherited. It’s completely ill…
