  1. Wonder how he feels about following the actual science rather than opinions.

Very unfair of Professor Comiskey to bring multiple international studies based on verifiable data from countries that have actually liberalised their laws around this

  2. Between this IT crime editor’s lazy attempt at fear mongering and Fionnan Sheehan’s recent panel appearance where he was outdebated on drugs policy by a guy named Spicebag, I’m genuinely curious to why top journalists in Ireland are gung-ho against decriminalisation..

  3. It would be interesting to see what would happen in the North if Dublin did decriminalise it.

  4. ‘Note’ ‘advice’ ‘opinion’ ‘recommendations’, ‘skeptical’ caution’ as usual and as with many topics, the Irish establishment like to present a framework that we exist somehow in a vacuum, and nothing done or achieved successfully outside their sphere of influence is accredited or acknowledged and is to be downplayed and past off.

  5. Just compare it to beer, within reason obviously based on substance.

But some people wanna try beer and like it, some dont like it and dont drink again. Other people have no interest in trying it.

To me thats how her arguements sounds and is very well put, Two independant studies over 6 years? apart. Legalise it the people who wanted to try it will etc. Keep the Status quo? The people who want to try it will try it but they wont know what they are getting.

  6. Your man’s a fucking dinosaur. Speaking in general with no facts behind your argument is disingenuous, but as a ‘journalist’ it wreaks of bias and a genuine lack of regards for the information he is putting out into the country.

  7. Let people smoke cannabis if they want. Yes in small, isolated cases it causes some issues but so does alcohol and cigarettes. It’s a waste of police and courts time trying to prosecute for it. Sure half of America has legalised it
