Walloon Environment Minister Céline Tellier (Ecolo) had to leave a farmers’ protest after she was booed by angry farmers. “Tellier, resign,” dozens of farmers shouted as fireworks exploded near her. The farmer protest continues to cause major traffic disruption in Brussels Monday evening. In Mechelen, tractors have now also driven onto the E19. And much disruption is expected tomorrow as well.

  1. Aiming fireworks at people? I’ve seen the police water cannon being deployed for less than that.

    I wonder how much this whole thing is going to escalate? I still don’t understand what their end goal is.
