Man the rich plan to just stupidly push their luck til the horse kicks them in the face.
They’re going to force us to rid the planet of them. They simply don’t understand any alternatives. Like cockroaches
Reich is a putz. He has been preaching income inequality for 40 years and in that time Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty in more places that any other economic system.
Note to Mr Reich. We already have a progressive tax system. The top 1% Pay 43% of the taxes a a 25% rate. The top 10% pay 70% at a 20% rate. HOW MUCH TO YOU WANT?
The History of taxation shows that taxes which are inherently excessive are not paid. The high
rates inevitably put pressure upon the taxpayer to withdraw his capital from productive business and invest it in tax-exempt securities or to find other lawful methods of avoiding the realization of taxable income. The result is that the sources of taxation are drying up; wealth is failing to carry its share of the tax burden; and capital is being diverted into channels which yield neither revenue to the Government nor profit to the people.
Afghanistan ranks in the top 3 countries for equality based on the GINI index. Average annual salary there is about $700.
Equality doesn’t mean wealth. We can all be equally poor together
Jon Stewart for president?
They’re both so young and it’s incredible how much worse this problem has gotten since this interview came out. One step forward; two steps back.
