Germany and Japan…. a few years I was taking a fancy tourist train from Sydney to Pert. One of the other passengers was Japanese navy cadet practicing his English and having a very focused attitude about both improving his language skills and learning about Australian culture.
A few of the other passengers were Chinese, in my opinion as an East European who grew up during communism, old communists, party members. They seemed most interested in the natural resources of Australia.
