Binboy tweets on twitter it hasn’t been reached, this is a clear split here, the partys on a collision course of a fight, its crucial to note Binboys view is the dup top haven’t reached a collective decision , Jeffery Donaldson factions take seems to be that they have, you can’t fit these two arguments together here.

my best guess is Donaldson feels he has the raw numbers to pass the deal, I think this will cause a party split edit and I believe there is no going back after tonight this is officially lines being drawn.

I believe in a month maybe sooner, the DUP as it currently exists right now wont be a thing.

  2. There was going to be a schism either way. Even if they DO go into government, the odds of the executive collapsing this side of Easter is decent.

    Unlike the Provo/Official schism, this has no clear aligned collective interest and is literally just a rag tag collection of fundamentalists, careerists, and LCC mouthpieces.

    It’s got dyspraxia levels of coordination.

  5. I’ll believe it when I see it. A few hard liners could have fed Binboy shit and fed him the audio of the meeting. He’s known to lie & exaggerate & his stance was against a deal.

    Could see a couple of older big names switching to independent or even TUV but doubt the egos could serve with Angry Jim.

    I could be wrong but DUP are a lot of hot air and I expect vast majority will quiet down and pick up their paycheck. Crazy how bad shape the UUP are they fail to ever capitalise on DUP omnishambles.

  7. They didn’t exactly split over power sharing with Sinn Féin, arguably a far bigger deal to them than this.

    Maybe Grim Jim over in the TUV will get one or two new mates to sit and look aggrieved with in Stormont but I’d say the vast majority will toe the line and then they and their shinner mates can get back to inventing new ways to fuck us good and hard like any other government.

    At least until the toys get thrown out the pram over something else.

  14. The sea border isn’t going away anywhere because it’s the deal between the English and the EU that suits. Donaldson knows that and that the DUP are trying to be the tail wagging the dog. But I’d say quite a few in the DUP know that also.
