Spanien finanziert die Palästinenser trotz Kontroversen weiterhin

  1. This is terrible, they are supporting an organizations that condones terrorism. Palestinians need to be moved under the protection of the UNHCR

  2. The reason the UNRWA exists separately the UNHCR is the right the general assembly recognized for Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland. This is largely why the external push exists to disband the UNRWA exists, its part of the same strategy.

Every complaint that currently exists about the UNRWA, about the close involvement of its workers to Hamas, would end up eventually happening as well with the local workers the UNHCR would have to employ to substitute UNRWA in Gaza. A solution to that is being sought after about as much as carpet bombing entire civilian settlements in Gaza is meant to fight Hamas, for those that propose disbanding UNRWA. The real good faith solution would be much more surgical.

This is what I’m calling carpet bombing, I apologize if it isn’t the right term: https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-middle-east-67977694

  3. Imagine a portion of your taxes going to fund terrorism, racism and perpetuating eternal conflict instead of being used to improve your life. Lol at Spain

  4. Spain can do what it likes. Personally I prefer that my charitable giving go to organizations that self-police at least to the extent that they don’t employ terrorists. Hopefully other organizations around the world are watching this and making sure they meet at least that bar so they don’t ever have a fiasco like this.

  5. Spain is directly supporting terrorism! Great job guys!

  6. My support for Spain stops at Churros, tapes, paella and sangria.

  7. you’d think they have a better cause to use this money for, i mean, they are in the middle of an immigration crisis with illegal immigrants coming from morocco by sea, but then again, a political gesture is a better avenue for your citizens’ taxes

  8. Almost like depriving millions of people, based upon the alleged actions of 0.04% of those who work for UNRWA , is a collective punishment which is illegal.

  9. The highest unemployment in the OECD and yet their priority is funding terrorists.

  10. Spain is the after base of Muslim brotherhood in Europe so not really a surprise.

  11. I’m not surprised. Spain has always been pro-Palestine.

  12. Won’t be surprised if the Jews of Spain will start bailing out of there soon.

  13. In other news: Israel continues bombing Gaza amid controversy.

Spain at least helps civilians, not kills them in thousands and plays the victim.

  14. Didn’t they have a facist dictator until the seventies or something? Guess its just they lean towards the extremes.

  15. The problem is supporting Palestine has become a “must” for the left. You can’t even question what Hamas did on October without being called a fascist and the current Spanish government is the Socialist Party.

  16. spain has been hella quiet this whole time, both in israel and ukraine.

  17. WARNING: RANT/EXPLAINATION AHEAD – AM SPANIARD, BORN AND RAISED

Spain’s left is VERY victim-virtue prone. It will always side with the underdog. They live off the twisted memory of the fascist repression and a mindless idealization of a Second Republic that was better than the first because it lasted 3 terms instead of 3 years. They are so dense, they had a VERY hard time coming to terms with the fact that Russia is the enemy. And this time it’s not because of the ‘evil, evil capitalists/fascists’ (for most Spaniards, the difference is… muddy, to say the least).

The right would also not do well with this, since they are closet-fascists (and not-so-closeted ones, too) so, not being both anti-muslim and anti-semitic and managing to hide their hyper-Catholic retrograde hard-on would be waaaaaay too much for them. The thought of a Crusade and the re-institution of the Inquisition gets them so wet they can’t help themselves…

Mind you, Israel’s actions kinda feel like watching the devil and his evil twin have a warcrimes and general arsehole-ness competition. And both are winning. So, hard to present a credible alternate narrative other than “fuck them both”, and politics are won on “we are the good guys” fuzzy feelings (a stupid echo of the stupid Civil War) so, any actual involvement, regardless of how justified it may be (and how much sense it makes internationally), is a big no-no internally.

After using the constitution to wipe their arses and sell, not only the separation of powers but the law-facing equality of citizens as well, they can’t afford to anger their base anymore. And sadly, the alternative is the closet-fascists allied with the overt fascists.

    Yay.

  18. Well of course , this story was a hit job on the unwra to deflect from the un ruling that Israel stop the killing, Smoke and mirrors
