Police actually turning up to a 999 call is the real news
Seems pretty justified based on the reporting, but I’m sure we’ll hear soon enough that this is state murder.
First they came for the men threatening the pubic with a crossbow….
Tried to force his way inside, threatened residents, threatened police, armed with a deadly weapon…
There was only ever one way this was ending, sadly.

Anyone know the procedure for this? Can armed police go straight for a lethal shot if the offender is armed with a lethal projectile weapon, or does the offender need it be raising it and ready to fire?.
I am very happy about the fact that this is BIG NEWS and not a typical day in this country.

I’ve not read the article, nor was I there to witness the incident first hand, but I would bet my right nut that he was black.

My thoughts are with the officer who will probably have to spend months justifying actions that he had seconds to decide upon.
If I’m remembering correctly, the guy who broke into Buckingham palace a while ago had a crossbow too. Was there a memo I missed?
Can’t wait for this to be used as a justification to ban crossbows.
I do like the fact someone being shot by the police is considered a headline event in this country. For all the critism our cops get, rightly so quite often, they’re hardly what you’d call trigger happy.

Breaking into places armed with knifes and a crossbow, proceeded to ignore police, was shot and killed by police, jesus, thank god the police are finally doing there job correctly. Good riddance
