  1. Impossible?  The former guy loses all the time.  Constantly, even.  From bankruptcies to popular votes to law suits.  Beating Donald Trump at something is a level one achievement.

  2. Good on E. Jean Carroll for putting up with the death threats from Trump supporters, to get through her lawsuit. And she faced a lot of death threats from Trump supporters.

    Sadly, in 2016, Trump was accused of raping a 13 year old girl with Epstein, during the 2016 campaign season, [but that woman dropped the lawsuit because of the death threats from Trump supporters] (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/04/donald-trump-teenage-rape-accusations-lawsuit-dropped). The moment you accuse Trump of anything, his supporters will make death threats against you, all they know is violence.

  3. Considering this is a defamation case and Trump is very petty, she should probably stop with the interviews. It would be a shame if she lost all of the money in endless defamation cases.

  10. What about the hundreds of defamatory statements that weren’t part of either suit, but were made before they were resolved? Are those considered “dealt with” by the punitive damages?

    It seems strange that Trump was defaming Carroll so aggressively right up until the verdict (even after those new statements could have been introduced as evidence) but nothing since, which makes me wonder if he thinks he’s now only liable for things he says from this point forward.

  16. I wouldn’t gloat until the $ hits her account. He has a long history of not paying bills, drawing out cases indefinitely, and winning appeals. But she won this battle and I applaud her courage and conviction.

  19. This is going to be like a multi million dollar annuity, that pays out huge every few years. It will be an endless cycle of her suing him for defamation.

    I think I already know the answer but why are the other trials moving so slowly?

    Goes to show how much those who are protecting Trump are only protecting him where it serves their interests.

  27. I mean I’m super happy she kicked his ass, but you also assume that Trump will pay.

    And like, he never pays.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps running his mouth, keeps racking up even more debt as she wins more and more, and he is entirely banking on becoming president to wipe it all away, asserting himself as dictator.

    Which is a scary thought.

  37. Feels like she’s bragging and flaunting it a little bit too much, especially considering how much money it is. Kinda puts a bit of a target on her back. I hate Trump as much as anyone that does but yeah maybe cool it a little? Doesn’t seem like the best idea to regularly put yourself out there after something like this, the maga Nazis might get ideas.
