In 2023 we helped 117 volunteers get a flight, and this is one of them! This is a former Army Scout who flew to Ukraine to join in the fight. He made it, and now he is helping push back the Russians. We helped him get there by pairing him with a donor who used airline miles to cover the cost of his journey. He had some extra luck because when getting a bus ticket in Poland, a stranger bought his ticket for him and said he does that for all volunteers headed to Ukraine to fight (thank you random stranger!)
