Why did everyone let him get away with the biggest election fraud in the recent history of Europe if they think like that? We, the Serbian people really hoped Europe would step in or atleast push for a re-run of the elections but nothing happened. The US ambassador Christopher Hill openly said there were obvious irregularities in the elections but he continues to stand with Vucic. Our inflation rates are enormous, corruption is rampant, nepotism is worse than ever but yet here we are just because Hill and the EU did not want to give even a tiny bit of support to our left ,green, pro-EU, pro-NATO opposition because they already invested way too much in Vucic, blaming the Serbian people and making a black sheep out of Serbia while activelly doing everything to support a dictator is making even bigger euro-sceptics out of our people. All in all this is a really sad country to live in, where you cant even choose your leaders.

The EU that Serbia will be joining in the future will be fundamentally different from the current one, one way or the other. Second Orbán will no longer be something to worry about – either because the EU will have gained a better ability to deal with it, or because it will have lost all ambition to try.
Well, we can’t ascend if Kosovo is not resolved, so these news serve as a nice reminder to dislike Serbia.

Are we really discussing bringing Serbia into EU while at the same time there is evidence od election fraud, wide spread corruption, and the buying of weapons from Russia, Iran and China???
Adding to that the repression of Kosovo people and creating a war zone on the Kosovo border.

I always get downvoted here for saying it (by Serbs) but the EU would be crazy to let another questionable democracy with pro-Russia leanings into the EU.
To even consider Serbia for the EU is a disgrace and insult to the democratic values.
Considering Vucic was the propaganda minister for Miloshovic and not only does he not condemn the atrocities committed by the Serb regime, he would commit them again if he wasn’t afraid of Nato.

The EU must be reformed, I’m quite tired of saying this.
Remove any veto increase the power of the parliament, introduce a directly elected European government and transform national PMs into governors. That’s it.
Serbia will get at least several countries VETO.
Even Turkey has a better chance of being in the EU – there is nothing to discuss here about Serbia.

The big problem and cruel irony is that for the above much-needed reform to happen, it will require one last unanimous vote.
The EU not letting them join is not enough.
We should’ve cut the Funding towards Serbia, months ago.
Not going to happen any time soon. Serbia would have to formally recognise Kosovo to even consider that happening, and Serbia seems nowhere near doing that.
80% of people in Serbia dont want to join EU,but want neutrality. Yet our traitor govt keep going in EU. I hope it will never happen.
It will be a number of decades before Serbia joins…
1. Serbia’s accession to the EU wont happen anytime soon.
2. Any country’s accession to the EU risks bringing a second, third, fourth or fifth Orban into the EU. Nobody knows who will be prime minister in any EU country 15 years down the line, for all we know they could all be Orbans at that point. My point is, the person currently at the head of any candidate country shouldn’t be of major concern for their application process. The strength of their democratic institutions and compliance with EU rules should be the main concern.
What this is telling me is that Orban is very short
The chances of Serbia getting into the EU is already minimal, as long as they’re refusing to help us locate the missing people from our war of independence they’re not getting anywhere near the EU.
Serbia doesn’t need traitorous Europe that always stab them in the back. Especially now when the US will bring the whole EU under its protectorate.
What’s this obsession of EU bureaucracy with expanding to the east and hoovering up eurotrash? They can happily establish their own Eastern European Union and do whatever they like.
